Over the last year, we’ve heard from various people who believe their pets are benefiting from taking NAD boosting human vitamin supplement Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (FAQs) (Reviews). You can read their anecdotes here: (Cat) (Cat) (Dog). But is there an actual NAD booster for dogs on the way? Harvard’s Dr. David Sinclair explained on a recent podcast:

At the 19 minute mark of the video below:

HOST:

“I have to ask this question.

Do you know anyone who has applied some of the protocols that you use or similar to dogs?”

DR Sinclair:

“Yeah, I do.

So, my brother is the CEO of a pet longevity company that’s in stealth mode. And so most people haven’t heard about it yet.

But he’ll be launching a product most likely this year.

He’s in clinical trials looking at vitality and longevity in dogs.

It’s going really well.

And the clinical trials so far look like the dogs do much better.

They have more vitality.

They sleep better.

And a little bit of an insight is that there are a handful of people in Hollywood who are working with my brother to keep their dogs healthier for longer.

And the word got out in Hollywood.

So, my brother, every few weeks gets a request from someone else who’s super famous — “can you help my dog?”

So, right now we’ve got a clinical trial and then a Hollywood trial ongoing.

But these molecules — the one that he’s excited about, and I’m excited about too is a derivative of NAD, which we also call an NAD booster, like NMN, but it’s one that’s optimized for dogs and different and you can’t buy it for humans. And it looks really, really great.

So, I’m excited about that.

I know you love dogs.

And I think most of us feel the same way about our pets as though they’re our own furry kids — and why wouldn’t we want them to live longer.

I think it’s sad that they don’t live as long as we do.

And that would be one of my goals if I’m able to do it — to make a dog that lives as long as we do”
