We’ve heard some incredible stories here from consumers impacted by supplementing with Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (FAQs) (Reviews). Who can forget Mark’s story about his successful battle with epilepsy? What about Shelly overcoming Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)? The anecdotal evidence appears endless. Now comes a remarkable submission from Igor V (please consider sharing your own NAD+ supplement experience below):
Igor V‘s NR (Nicotinamide Riboside) Story:
“I’m 45.
Been taking NR (Nicotinamide Riboside) for 2.5 years.
Have led a pretty active life (although toned down a bit in recent years with kids).
Your theoretical max HR (Heart Rate) is supposed to be 220 minus your age.
I’ve always had a high max HR and would often (like every spin class) break 200 in my late 20s.
I broke 190 this week and I wasn’t pushing to what I’d call 100%.
I’ve only recently started tracking HR again during workouts, so it’s hard to say if this has changed in the last 2.5 years.
But overall, I remember feeling sleepy after lunch 2.5yrs ago…nowadays I just don’t really ever.
I never complain that I’m exhausted come bedtime.
I only have a little good soreness after hard bike rides.
I feel other subjective things like thicker hair, and even really funny things like I used to put my down jacket and a hat on when walking the dog on a 50 degree evening, and now I seem to just tolerate the cold (cool) weather better – it’s really strange.
And of course, the feeling that I’m just kind of impervious to colds is the single most astonishing thing that I started talking about a year ago (before COVID19)”
