Months ago, Mark Molinaro shared a remarkable story here at RaisingNAD about his successful battle fighting epilepsy. He attributes his success to NAD boosting vitamin supplement Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (FAQs) (Reviews). You can read his story HERE. This past weekend, Mark celebrated a year without seizures with the following comment (please consider sharing your own NAD+ supplement experience below):

Mark Molinaro — Celebrating a Year Without Seizures:

“I don’t expect anyone in an online forum to believe me but it’s true.

NR (NAD booster Nicotinamide Riboside) has changed my life.

I don’t know how else to describe it.

It’s been about 8 1/2 years since my TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and while it was a closed head injury in all I had four subdural hematomas in four different areas of my brain.

Prior to that point I was healthy….

….Business aside, the head injury changed everything.

Nobody could really tell me how that would unfold.

I mean how could they except that there’d be a period of initial healing and on the backend of that there’d be a new normal.

So, you take daily self-assessments of what that means exactly, what’s different, what’s changed, simple things you knew about yourself like sleeping pattern, balance and walking, cognition, pain and mood are all quite different.

And in those ways you become unrecognizable even to yourself even though outwardly you look exactly the same.

You get a lot of “but hey, you look great!” from the people who know (knew?) you.

Eventually you get to a steady state. I could live with the new me.

But then seizures started, and I was diagnosed with myoclonic epilepsy.

I’ve said it before “if you’ve never had epilepsy, never held a loved one during a seizure, you just don’t understand the toll it has on your life.

It’s not just the act of seizing itself, the visible part I mean. It’s the entirety of epilepsy, wears you down.

I could deal with the neuropathy that came with the TBI.

I could deal with the anosmia and phantosmia.

I could deal with not being able to sleep.

I could deal with forgetfulness, inability to recognize faces and anger.

I just wasn’t really prepared for dealing with daily seizures on top of all that too.

And after getting mixed results from CBD, THCa, noise cancelling headphones, blue tinted sunglasses, VieLight, whole-body NIR therapy and daily HBOC dips I was at the point where I was considering a seizure dog — not so much for me but so that my wife didn’t have to be by my side 24/7.

That was my every day and there was no reason to believe it would ever change.

Dark places beget dark thoughts.

So yeah, life changing product (NR) to say the least.”
