You might have read the many life changing anecdotes we have from consumers taking NAD+ boosting vitamin supplement Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (FAQs) (Anecdotes). But how do NAD+ scientists describe their own NR experiences? Here’s what Dr. Charles Brenner (FAQs) said on a podcast last month:

HOST:

“Before we sign off, I just had one more question.

Feel free to not answer it if you’re not comfortable.

But my understanding, just from things I’ve seen you say in other podcasts, is that you also take the NR product.

And I was wondering if there was any particular thing in terms of your N of 1 experience, your subjective, how it works for you that you’re willing to share with our audience today.

DR. CHARLES BRENNER:

“Well, I feel blessed with my life.

I’m a very active 62 year old guy.

I do all kinds of physical activities.

I feel like I’m at the top of my game mentally.

I have to keep up with a 43-year-old marathoner who’s my wife in the house, who ran a — what did she run this year? — a 3:23:45 or something like that in Chicago. So, fast.

Two younger kids in the house.

And a dog.

And, so, I’m doing well.

I attribute my stamina and everything to everything.

So, you get lucky with your parents you have.

In my case, I think I have a healthy diet.

I prioritize sleep.

I’ve also been taking NR longer than anybody else on the planet.

I do think that it boosts resiliency and repair, helps me in travel, helps me avoid infection.

And I think it really is good stuff.
