This is the latest in a series of posts highlighting consumer experiences taking B3 vitamin supplement Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (FAQs) (Reviews). Though scientific studies are ongoing, NR is believed to impact people in many different ways (see list of “Categories” on the right side OR below on mobile). The latest consumer anecdote comes from former therapist and now artist Anne Milligan who suffered from GERD / acid reflux (please consider sharing your own NAD+ supplement experience below):

From Anne Milligan (who posted her story as a comment HERE. She also confirmed it via email):

“The following are some of the most recognizable positive effects of taking Nicotinamide Riboside (as TruNiagen) for over 5 years now.

I am not aware of any negative effects.

I have a full “Healthy Aging Panel” done every year and there are no negative effects observable on those labs either:

1. I haven’t “come down with” any kind of cold or flu for 5 years and the same for my husband. If something does try to infect us, we are over it very quickly.

2. I spend a lot of time in the sun. I used to regularly have white (possibly pre-cancerous) spots frozen from my face fairly regularly. I have not had a visit to the dermatologist for these spots in at least 3 years.

3. The muscles of my face and my general body composition is more defined, but I do have to keep exercising regularly. I am 62 y.o.

4. GERD (acid reflux) previous to taking TruNiagen was becoming a concern, and now it is gone and has never returned
