During an episode of “Ask Dr. Drew” this past week, fertility expert Dr. Aimee (aka “The Egg Whisperer”) was asked about Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (Reviews) for those wanting to freeze their eggs. Here’s what she said (transcript and video below):

“If you are going to — let’s stay with freezing eggs — does Tru Niagen (NR) help the viability of those eggs and health?

DR. Aimee:

“Yes. I believe. Absolutely.

So, I put all my egg freezers on it (NR).

So I ask them — the 25 year olds for example — I suggest that they take Tru Niagen, CoQ10, and a good multivitamin at the same time.

DR. Drew:

What’s the mechanism on CoQ10?

DR. Aimee:

“It’s also a mitochondrial booster.

So, anything that helps the mitochondria will help prevent chromosomal abnormalities in our eggs once they’re fertilized”
