We know that there’s enormous interest in studying Nicotinamide Riboside “NR” (FAQs) (Reviews) in the science community. A quick look at the 50+ ongoing or completed clinical trials says it all. But who are these scientists? Chromadex CEO Rob Fried talked about some of them at the Oppenheimer Health Care Conference yesterday.
Beginning at the 6:46 Mark of Chromadex’s Presentation at the Oppenheimer Health Care Conference:
“Our growing body of research is expanding beyond basic pharmacokinetics and safety into important areas of human health with very large addressable markets.
This chart (see below) groups the research by intrinsic capacity domain as defined by the World Health Organization.
As an example, vitality — which includes heart failure, immunity, inflammation, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and diabetes.
Locomotion — which includes studies on Parkinson’s.
Cognition — which includes studies on mild, cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s.
And sensory — which includes studies on neuropathy.
All of these areas are being researched on Nicotinamide Riboside (NR).
Because by elevating NAD levels, you’re improving the cells ability to produce energy, mitochondrial function.
And most importantly you’re improving the cells ability to repair itself by increasing enzymes called PARP enzymes.
The Chromadex Scientific Advisory Board includes Dr. Charles Brenner — who is the world’s foremost authority on NAD metabolism and is the discoverer of the NRK pathway…
…Dr Roger Kornberg, who is a Noble Prize Winner and professor of structural biology at Stanford….
…Dr Rudy Tanzi, who is the co-Chair of the Department of Neurology at Harvard, and one of the world’s leading Alzheimer’s researchers…
…Dr Bruce German, who is a leader in food nutrition and wellness innovation at the University of California-Davis…
…Sir John Walker, also a Nobel Prize Winner and Emeritus Director of Mitochondrial Biology at the University of Cambridge….
…Dr Brunie Felding, renowned breast cancer researcher, also doing research on brain cancer from Scripps Institute…
…and Dr David Katz, world renowned physician and preventative health expert.
What I’d like to point out about all this SAB (Scientific Advisory Board) is not just the distinction of these individuals.
But each and every one of them are working on as we speak Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) and NAD.
As we speak, Brunie Felding is doing work on cancer research.
John Walker won his Nobel Prize on Mitochondrial function.
Bruce German is doing a lactation study on Nicotinamide Riboside (NR).
Rudy Tanzi is doing an Alzheimer’s study as well as a long hauler COVID study on Nicotinamide Riboside (NR).
Roger Kornberg is one of the world’s leading authorities on NAD. In fact, his father, also a Nobel Prize Winner, discovered Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) in the 1940s.
And, of course, Dr. Charles Brenner, is the world’s leading authority.”
